Our Story
It all started when…
Our founders, Ed and Jett Hattaway, a father/son team from Chattahoochee Hills, GA began home brewing as a pastime in 2014. The hobby soon attracted the attention of neighbors and friends in the community who appreciated the product. While Jett was a professional working in the solar energy industry in Atlanta, his father Ed runs a Chiropractic practice in Douglasville, the two decided to take a leap into the beer industry in their hometown of Chattahoochee Hills, GA.
After a year and a half of re-zoning and working with the City of Chatt Hills to implement a special use permit, the plan to build the first Farm Brewery in the area ultimately failed to pass through council. The neighboring City of Fairburn then offered the business an opportunity to located near their historic downtown where the city was looking to revive the district as a community hub and economic engine for the region. The brewery was a perfect fit for the community’s vision and the real-estate options were more than suitable for the operation. The brewery opened its doors in Fairburn, GA in 2019 where we now brew well balanced traditional ales and lagers and offer people a place to get to know their neighbors in a family friendly environment. We have a love for our craft and gratification that comes with serving our community, but our real passion is bringing people together to exchange ideas and build a robust community rich in character and full of life.
We count ourselves lucky to be part of such a community and look forward to contributing to the sense of place that Fairburn, GA has created. Cheers!
